Honestly, everyone has their influences, but Gilbert has taken that and then started writing his own chapter. His instrumental album and various other solo albums (where he sings and plays) are evidence of this. Any guitar player who is serious about his or her craft has something to learn from Gilbert (and even Yngwie to a certain degree).

Scit Scat Wah!! The lick at 03:42 is just killer, it's a pentatonic broken up into 3 notes per string sequenced down and up the neck. I've practiced it lots but can't get it as clean as he does. Great song and thanks so much for sharing!
