I remember it well. That horrible song, Reet Petite claimed it. I think back then, there were two charts and this DID top the unofficial one for Christmas. I always class this as the 1986 Christmas number one. Crazy, 36 years on and his voice is as good as it was then

Haha nice one Baz you must be the around the same age as me then pal still young in your 20s then? LOL! I went to see David Hemingway only last month performing with his new band The Sunbirds anyway after the show had finished I actually asked Dave about Caravan of Love regarding the Xmas No.1 in ' 86 etc and his exact words was ... "Yes they was robbed."
