Lastimosamente sí, en los 80 en una balacera lo hicieron y presentó problemas de salud con el tiempo y se vieron obligados a amputarle una pierna y después de un tiempo sufrió un accidente automovilístico y perdió allí su otra pierna, sin embargo se recuperó y no le vio obstáculo alguno a seguir con su carrera.
