Yes, peace is more important than everything, but when war is imposed to you, you go with war because there’s no other alternative. The war you read on the media is completely different from how it is on the battlefield. The perpetrators always look for something they can use as a just cause (ethnicity, race, religion, politics, membership of a social group). It is dangerous when your ethnic group is used to justify war. Doing so, they expose it to the hatred of other ethnic groups. This situation has led some African ethnic groups to poverty and forced migrations. Those who mastermind wars earn dollars that they don’t share with the fabricated victims. As a matter of war in the DR Congo, Banyamulenge are left poor by Kagame who use their name for the economic war initiated by rich countries.

Kagame seems to attract both admiration and condemnation among those who follow developments in African affairs. I choose to measure him by one metric: what is he doing for the development of his people and country? I apply the same test to all African leaders. I do this because we don't know the whole story of the dynamics involved. What i know is that all Western countries are getting whatever the hell they want out if Africa and resource rich African countries have little to show for it. Kagame is one of my the few to clearly have a vision and it is manifesting in many ways. Whatnis the Congo's excuse, for not securing it's county at all cost and starting to have the resources benefit the people more directly in a sustainable way? That's what leadership is for. What is clear to me is that a lot goes into ensuring the dysfunction of Africa to the benefit of Western countries, mostly former imperial masters. They only gave up colonialism because they settled on more efficient ways to control Africa. I refuse to condemn one of the few leaders who is making it work for his African country. I think he understands what's going on and is determined that Rwanda will not be forced into perennial underdevelopment.

Both blaming the other does not help the interest of Africa and is one of the weak links moving the economy of Africa forward. This has encouraged widescale pillaging of Congos/African resources . The quest should be unity without the excessive spending on arm conflicts. A peaceful Africa with cross border travel and trade is key to Africa's development, its the responsibility of these leaders to bring about peaceful change.

The war in Rwanda crossed the border of DRC by the millions of refugees who were trying to escape the genocide in their country. Now the European community financed that war to destroy one man. That’s the beginning of the destruction of DRC. Also, the minerals resources stolen built the Rwanda of today. For people who witness the atrocities and invasion of the Rwandese soldiers they are no doubt.
