The same goes to many lower level players, both pros and amateurs. Lot of people uses fast drivers when safe play with a putter or midrange would be a better option for a result and so on. It's the sound of the disc hitting the branches. It's just a little toss from the woods, you can see how far it goes... Just because it comes off Simon's hand doesn't mean it's a rocket :D.
@kenta31483 жыл бұрын
@@Naegimaggu I didn't think he threw that hard either. I listened a few more time and I now think it was traffic noise reflecting from the disc. Still, that's a crazy good mic pick-up. It wasn't hitting any branches during the whoosh sound over the fairway.
@Naegimaggu3 жыл бұрын
@@kenta3148 I listened it again with headphones to hear it more clearly and now I'm thinking it's an added sound effect, I think that would be a thing Simon would do :D.

@Naegimaggu - I don't think it's an added effect. You can hear it on Paul's shot at 16:12 as well, and I heard lower volume sounds on some other shots too. I think it depends on the angle of the disc and the placement of the camera. On that one at 3:50 at @Kent A mentioned, the camera is in front of the throw, and the bottom of the disc (which is on hyzer) is facing the camera, so the sound seems to be loudest coming off the bottom of the disc as it's thrown.

I like how hole 1 has those trees in the way of the straight shot. So you have to let it fade. And to pin it you have to throw a super technical hyzerflip hold over shot. ROAD TRIP FROM MICHIGAN ! Wanted to write this back in April, but kept putting it off.... THANK YOU TO THE 5 TIME WORLD CHAMP HIMSELF ! Myself and two of my teenage sons took a road trip during their spring break , to throw at Idlewild, Hornets nest and Winthrop Gold ! After dragging our butts through those huge courses, my son says” we should go to Paul’s Home course opening Friday at 10am” ... Wasn’t real sure if or how it was all going down, but we finished up Winthrop and hit the road for Virginia! Scoped out the general area the night prior so we’d know where to go in the Friday morning. We got a room and crashed for the night. We arrived at New London in Bedford around 9:45 and YES, we were at the right place. Within 10 minutes, up drives Paul with his family in the car. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place and Paul just hung out , walking around talking to anyone who wanted to meet him. It made our whole trip worth it! I’m so grateful my boys got to meet and talk to him that Friday morning! My Son Isaac asked Paul, “do you have time to sign a disc “... He said absolutely! We all got pics with him that morning. In fact, a TV crew heard we were from Michigan and asked if we would do an interview with him, which aired that night on a local station in Virginia! Thank you again Paul for the great experience!
