Between weekend shows at Desert Trip in Coachella , McCartney drives 25 miles north into the desert of the Morrongo Valley and does a full set of songs in a ghost town roadhouse for 50 lucky people who happened to be there. Once in a lifetime !

No... that was "invite only"... local musicians knew nothing about it.

Actually!! He announced the same day in the morning on social media so I left home in LA in that minute, when I got there a was the person #13 on the line. No one knew about it, it wasn't people who was there or anything. Just the lucky 80 fans who hurry to the desert. At the end of the concert it was thousands of people outside of the bar.

Incredible. What are the odds? I saw Paul and Wings in 1976, but it was nothing like this. Some lucky lucky people.

Grew up out in the 29 Palms, Yucca Vally area and hung out many times at Pioneertown.My sister Robin and brother-in-law Dennis were out there one lucky night around 1973 and the Eagles were out there for a photo shoot for their Desperado album and dropped by the Cantina and jammed for the laid back patrons. I was overseas at the time. All I could say was Damn!

The present's artists feel like superstars immediately, after two months of music look their self at the mirror like gods, artists like Paul McCartney make secret concert for 100 people and maybe less. Why? I think that real musicians don't think about many people have in front of, if the music is good... is always good.

@jimkobe647 жыл бұрын
It could be almost any bar in Ireland, you would "imagine" that given the chance to hear Paul Mc singing live would be once in a life time but nope, just roar your head off along with the band, classic! and what a buzz for the lads playing lead rhythm and drums, I know they have been playing together for years, but that looks more like a jam session. What it must be like playing the Harrison Lennon and Star roles with the real McCartney!!

wow all you people are so lucky, i sure hope it was as good as i think it would have been, how many people were there inside?? how many songs did paul and band play about???? Was his voice better than you hear on these lower quality audios posted??? meaning i hear alot of bad comments about pauls voice now,, he sounds great to me ??? how was it live in smaller venue??? thank you
@juanbeatle17 жыл бұрын
the sound was great! but the best part was his voice. since he was having a great time! They said we were 300 but I don't think we were more than 150 in there
