Paul is the only celebrity whose being seems near-mythological to me. I feel like I'm sharing a timeline with a musical extraordinaire in the vain of Mozart or Beethoven. It's a blessing to have him still around, sharing his stories with the world. What's even nuttier is that he's STILL making great music, and he doesn't look like he's slowing down soon either!

Paul McCartney is my hero. I was 14 when he with the Beatles changed music and my life for the better. I still have my first Beatles 45 record, “I Want To Hold Your Hand. The following British Invasion played the soundtrack for my youth and life. I’m an old man now, a bit younger than Paul and in my retirement, I’ve taken my musical abilities, as modest as they are, and have begun to compose, play, sing, record and produce my own music, like Paul, only in the sense that I play all the instruments and do all the production myself. When people ask me what my goal is in doing so, I tell them that I want to compose a song so beautiful that Paul McCartney will want to cover it. Te amo senor McCartney!

i really dig this interview! it's different than the ones we've been getting for the past five years, everyone seems to ask him the same questions. this one's more in-depth and loose at the same time. it's just funny to me though, @28:50 i wished they'd stay on that, i love hearing about macca's heroes and the stuff that lights him up, but the interviewer goes right back to obsequious praise lol. god bless him though, i'd probably do the same if i had the opportunity. much love to all, thanks for doing this! macca's so great, beautiful soul, beautiful music.

I don't tend to be keen on superlatives, but this is probably the greatest and profoundest interview, I've ever had the pleasure to witness. All sensible, wise and appropriate questions that gave Mr. McCartney the opportunity to utter marvellously insightful answers. It happens to me that I tear up with good music. But with an interview - this was the first time. If there was a Nobel prize for interviewers, Mr. Howe would be a laureate, for sure. So thank you both warmly for this meaningful conversation. And congratulations to you, Sir Paul, for being No.1 with your new album in: * UK, Netherlands and Germany *, so far. May the rest of the world follow soon. You more than deserve it. Thank you for being available for mankind in this difficult time.

I’m 57 years old. I have followed Paul since I was 5. I play guitar, piano, mandolin, drums and write songs, play in a band and record my own stuff for pleasure. All because of this man. My marriage values, parenting and ways I view others are based on my observations of this man. I have had the determination and joy of being able to meet him, converse with him and even be invited by him to visit his home when passing- although I have not followed through on this. This interview, in my opinion and based on 50 years of observations, both personal and through media such as TV and and newspapers, is the most warmest, honest and free-spirited level of communication I have ever seen. Total respect from the interviewer- knowledgeable, respectful and commanding. This is very apparent in the way Paul responds. Feeling respected, comfortable and able to free-form without any risk of being tripped up. Absolutely lovely.

I'm a huge McCartney fan, this is one of the best interviews I've seen with McCartney. The one with Idris Elba was, woefully boring. Then, it was aired on the BBC that will no doubt have something to do with it, but the line of question here and how thoughtful Zane is - is fantastic and exactly what you want from the interviewer.
