He's sitting there, calm and cool as cucumber in conversation with the interviewer, and there's an army of non-stop deafening screams right outside the window. Basically wherever he went. What a strange and interesting life he embarked on. And a genuinely sweet disposition.

I find it incredible and almost unbelievable that today, in 2024, he still has the drive and passion to make and perform music that he did way back then. Hell, even if I love a craft, I begin to get a bit ancy to do something else after 3-5 years of it being my main thing. What he’s done and the fact that he is still doing it with the same unbridled passion consistently is just amazing. He and Ringo have done a great job of in 9:11 keeping the Beatles top of mind with new generations. And they come across as so damned 9:11 genuine. Paul would have every good excuse to be a pompous asshole after all his success, talent and presence to intimidate. But no, he seems all but that on his talk and more importantly his actions. Smart, wise, crafty, industry slick guy who knows how to present himself and does it so well I do believe it is absolutely genuine. It’s going to be a sad, sad day when we lose one of music’s greatest, most driven yet genuinely humble and grounded geniuses. I love the din of a b**ch. I really do.

I wish I was that mature at 21...to take the magnitude of it all all psychologically, speak so eloquently, and still have room for humility is breathtaking. Will-I-Am is a total dk in comparison and I get why JL was the first to crack in the end and get aggro with Will-I-Am. I think I would have done the same!!!! George and Ringo were always behind JL. The OG 3 were all trapped inside an artificial product they no longer had control over and were being handled. JL sabotaged it all to give the OG 3 an out. JL killed The Beatles and "they" didn't forgive him for it, or forget, they made JL's life a total hell, he couldn't travel back to England to visit his Aunt, or son, and then the cowards took him out. Spineless, control freak cowards...the lot of them. RIP Paul, John, George. I really hope Ringo outlives Will-I-Am so het gets to spew the truth into mainstream before he pops his clogs. Now...that would be one hell of a Netflix limited series. Yeesh!!!!!

Truly amazing how grounded and unflappably he was for a 21 year old who’s in the spotlight of the world, what’s more he’s still the same down to earth person after everything the Beatles went through. Let's not forget this man was 21, almost 22, at the moment of this interview., which is basically shy of his teenage years. At that age, I was still fucking around with my life and had no clue or idea which direction it was gonna take, like a lot of people at that age. But at 21 this guy was confident, calm and composed very successful and cementing a golden future. He was already starting to amass a fortune and had a solid career all paved. By the time this interview took place, Beatlemania was a global pandemic, this was held either in Adelaide or in Melbourne, so the band's success was set and solid.

@tony George had fewer occasions to be interviewed until after he became a soloist. ...of all the 4, I always found George the most relatable. Paul's dreamy elegance is almost ethereal - I can understand why he fell in love with an equally imaginative, elegant actress: a soulmate. Of all who suffered Paul's loss, Ms Asher had the worst of it because her ideal FUTURE was destroyed - including loss of the children that were not born to them.

What most people don’t think about with Paul and the way he was here at such a young age is that all that was mostly due to his upbringing. His dad was a very proper man and brought him up well. He was also responsible for much of his musical talent….so says Paul himself. He has always talked about how much he learned from his dad, and judging by this interview, he learned more than music. He learned how to be respectful and courteous. That’s one thing he’s kept throughout his whole life. Even now, he’s generally a courteous person in interviews.

Because he's so charming and engaging, I think people underestimated Paul's emotional intelligence and depth. To me, it was obvious from the music he wrote. He's always been a people person too. If you look back at the early Beatles performances, you can see the absolute joy on Paul's face - and it's infectious, you can't watch those old clips without grinning your head off and feeling much happier than you did before. Paul's always loved performing, that's why he's still touring today, and thank God for that!

I've freeze framed this many times. Looked at peoples comments. Many years ago I'd have thought it ludicrous, what I'm going to say now. BUT I've looked through this 3 times. The Paul here has an entirely different personality today. He's in love with himself. Paul here on this video is humble polite etc etc Yet he was the number 1 poster boy (sorry lads!) I've studied enough to know that they're two different people but after buying that Billy Shears is a totally unrelated person, I'm beginning to suspect that the Paul from 1962-1966 one one McCartney brother and the one since 1967 is the other brother. In other words one is Paul and one is Mike. Even when I was 9 years old I noticed how the two brothers in photos from when they were 6 year olds (or younger) seemed to be about the same size and age.

@@Akhenatonification I have wondered about this theory. There is a photo with their mum, sitting on a little hill and they look like twins. Is it possible? The man they put out there as Mike, JPM’s brother, looks nothing like Paul. There are also photos of Billy in the entourage as they all returned to London after the first U.S. tour. There is a resemblance between JPM and Billy. After plastic surgery one can see how Billy could have replaced Paul. But there are obvious differences. The souls are completely different, IMHO. This footage validates it. Let me know what you think.

I used to watch the Beatles on TV as a child in the early sixties. I adored Paul. Then one day they put this long-faced fellow on, after they had been away for a while, and they said it was Paul. I knew instantly that it wasn't. They said he was going to become a sheep farmer in Scotland. Then they broke up and the long-faced fake Paul started a band that was terrible. Everyone was saying, "What happened to his talent?" I knew what happened; that long-faced person wasn't Paul. I didn't know where Paul was. I only knew that guy wasn't him. Still ain't.

Paul was working class, not middle class. He was thirteen years old before his family even had an indoor toilet. Paul's mother was very concerned about her son's moving up in the world and encouraged them (as she herself spoke with a more genteel accent) to not speak with the heavy Liverpool accent. Paul was bright and was accepted into a relatively prestigious high school in Liverpool called The Liverpool Institute High School that educated its students with the same refinements as schools like Eton and Harrow where he would have also been influenced by their more subtle accents.

McCartney never spoke with abroad Scouse accent. Btw, his mum(the breadwinner in the family) was a midwife so the family had some privileges like the best possible council house in pristine Allerton and she gave birth to him in a private ward. But if any Beatle was middle-class, it was Lennon who was brought up in leafy Woolton.
