God bless ya Johnny Rocker for caring about young Paul and his songwriting abilities. What an auspicious meeting: two of the centuries greatest singer songwriters meeting up in the same town. (not to mention the quiet and lovely George with his own gifts not quite yet in full bloom) and of course the under cover cool and artistry of one Richard Starkey.

McCartney's alway interesting to listen to. Howard is a good interviewer - albeit too obsessed with sex questions - but it worked as a way of getting recognized in the business. I don't think he needs that stuff anymore.

John Lennon wouldn't have made it if he hadn't met Paul McCartney, he would have been an unknown nobody all his life. This has been said before by people and its true. I know what a genius John eventually grew into with the Beatles, but on his own or with those Quarry Men he wouldn't have even been given a chance to develop because he wouldn't have been taken on by anyone and given the opportunity in the first place. Paul Probably wouldn't have made it either but he would have had more of an initial chance because he at least looked pretty, he had that going for him, which would have got him at least noticed by talent scouts, whereas John wasn't pretty at all was he? he would have just been ignored and never had a career in show business.
