Indeed he is, but he always sounds better on the Ricky or the Fender. The Hoffner may be iconic and forever associated with him, but it is a bloody awful guitar.

@@osamabinladen824 Yes. Listen to his 1970's work with Wings and it is far more developed technique wise. He started using Rickys and Fenders in the latter stages of the Beatles. He only uses the Hofner live now because it is such an iconic look when he is on tour. If you listen closely, he is far happier using the first two mentioned.

My favorite love ballad of his. I remember when it came out, Paul was interviewed and said he was singing it to Linda and his daughters. Linda felt that son Jimmy was left out, so she added the "Boy I love you" part for him and Paul. That's the good stuff!

He lost his Mother at 14. His father died in I think 1976. His best friend was murdered in 1980. His band, the most popular band in the world broke up. He broke up with Jane Asher around 1968. And this is only what I know from reading etc. He is human so I'm sure he has a lot more than we will ever know about. That's the way it should be if you ask me. Great question Julio. Thanks.
