i saw paul in concert in oct 2005 which i can not say in words how great it was. but i remember paul almost crying when he mentioned john and george. he asked the audience to remember george and john. that teared me up.. paul did care and i know he misses them both very much and on paul being shocked about the audience, i did not see that. i think paul is proud to be hearing the audience carrying on the words of john lennon in respect and rememberance

That's really amazing that he did this--knowing full well that it could canonize Lennon at his expense. He even did a Lennon solo song--whomever you like best, it's clear that they loved each other very much and we should all respect that.

I just saw this video, and I thought, what a great tribute to John Lennon. All of the Beatles music--She loves you, All You Need is Love, John Lennon's Give Peace a Chance had a very positive message. It was exciting, it was fun---and everyone is happy. Proof is in this video! Look at all those people! Good Night! Thank you Paul!

This video makes me so emotional. More than any other John Lennon tribute, this was probably the best, since Paul knew him personally (unlike most of the other musicians doing Lennon tributes) and was Lennon's best friend for a long time (unlike ALL the other musicians). It also shows a loving side to Macca, not the egomaniac fighting over Lennon/McCartney credits.

This was actually released as a single b-side (to the 2nd version of the "All My Trials" single in 1990, together with a live version of "C Moon"). "All My Trials" was released on the Tripping The Live Fantastic Highlights album (i.e., the 1CD version only, as it was not included on the 2CD edition)

Lennon was always honest about his faults as a human being, and tried to improve and make up for it, by dedicating his Art to Love & Peace. Paul always tries to put up this superhuman image of himself as the perfect, ever- smiling nice guy, when in fact, he could be a real bastard, just like John.

@nebchic People tend to forget that without the Beatles most of the great musicians upon this earth wouldn't even exist. People may say "oh the beatles at that time were seen in the same way jb/bieber/wtv are seen today" but they forget that music was a lot different and rock'n'roll was seen as something 'bad'. Nowadays we don't have that mentality. The artists are the ones who really suck. Everything is made with machines, even voices. At that time they hadn't those machines, it was pure talent

John Lennon and the beatles, these dudes have to be aliens, their lyrics, their music, their creativity... It's like abstract art to the ears. Yeah there's good music out there that makes your ears happy but John, Paul, George and Ringo? Those dudes make a persons soul happy.

Beatlemania was like nothing before it. those were the best days. PLEASE go to my favorites and click on ALL MY LOVING. these are 2 fellow beatlemaniacs I grew up with singing a tribute to our favorite guys. THE BEATLES MUSICAL MAGIC WILL LAST FOREVER!

This is a very astute observation I think. I sometimes get the feeling Paul never knew who he was beyond being a great musician an songwriter - so nothing actually comes through. But good God - look at the songs he wrote!! Technically, he was stronger than John. Somewhat ironically, in his most recent album I feel more of a sense of a happy old guy who knows himself - after so many years

@musicforlife39 Don't think any of the kids were into that. Hard enough living in their father's shadows. But it would be interesting to see a show with the kids all playing together. Sean & Julian Lennon, Dhanni Harrison, and Ringo's son. I haven't heard of any of McCartney's children being musicians.

everyone responds to death differently - i've never met paul, but i've from several written accounts of people who know him well that he doesn't like to show his grief to the general public. when john died he supposedly cried a lot at home and then wrote a song about him called "here today." generally music was what helped him get over the deaths of his mother, john, george, and linda - all of whom he wrote songs about.
