I'm Irish and worked in an American company many years ago. The trainer who came from Jacksonville to Dublin to work with us was BLOWN AWAY by the variety of hair & eye colour in a small group - red hair and green eyes, mousy blond with brown eyes, jet black hair and pale blue eyes. She said it was like being in a Benetton ad!

@@themaskedman221 Ireland had someone else's monarchy for centuries and you're talking nonsense if you think we would ever accept this ancient and evil superstition called aristocracy as part of our independent country. The whole project of independence was engineered by a secret society called the Irish Republican Brotherhood. The first declaration of independence - the Proclamation of 1916, six years before the fact, proclaimed a republic. Only a republic. We fought a civil war over two things and two things only; the status of Northern Ireland and the idea of swearing fealty to a king *at all* for the first few years of independence when Ireland was technically part of the British dominions. And the latter was just as controversial as the former. To be called a king or queen is a near insult in Ireland. It is equivalent to being called a parasite.

Dear Paul, when I first saw you in Normal People, it was impossible not to be captivated by such a beautifully nuanced portrayal of strength and vulnerability. Since then, I’ve followed your career closely-from your incredible performance in the Savior Complex music video to what I believe was the best film of 2022, Aftersun, and other incredible projects. You’ve spoken about how actors choose which parts of their own experiences to bring into their roles, and all I can say is that your performance in Aftersun was breathtaking. I saw it twice in theaters, and both times, it moved me to tears. Your ability to convey so much depth and emotion is extraordinary. I truly admire you and believe you’re one of the most talented actors of your generation. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world-sending lots of love from Saint Petersburg! Dear Sean, thank you for being such a thoughtful and insightful interviewer. You set the gold standard and inspire me with your ability to connect so genuinely with your guests. i think a healthy view is as a fan supporting the actor for whatever project they want to do & root for them even if a decision is unexpected. we see what the industry and the actors themselves reveal, so i feel like we can recognize we like and know the public persona but not truly know the real inner and personal life of the person

I auditioned against Paul for the Denny’s Sausages Ad in 2018. I even went through two callbacks.

I was in The Lir for a year at the same time as Paul, and he was supposed to be in a short film of mine a couple years later, but he pulled out because he said he got an ad, and I’m pretty sure it was that Denny’s ad. If he’d chosen my short and you got the Denny’s what state the world may be in now, who knows

@@stephenkyne945 That’s mad! I checked the casting email there and it said the expected shooting date for the ad was to be April 2018. Auditions were in the same month so it was a quick turnaround.

Paul Mescal as the new James Bond would be incredible! He's got the talent, intensity, and charisma to bring a fresh, unique take to the role. He deserves it, and I think he’d bring so much depth and edge to 007. Fingers crossed

Unlike many of the guests, this guy actually ate the wings rather than nip at them and, as a result, had real reaction. 👍 Celebrity interviews are mostly trite and repetitious, so it's great when a show like this gets them out of their comfort zone.
