We'll never see this level of grace, humility and humanity in stars with such stratospheric success again in Hollywood. Rare breed. No, an extinct one.

When I was a Receptionist at a Porsche/Audi dealership in the late '80s early 90's in New Haven, Connecticut. Mr. Newman came in for service for one of his Porsches. He was so down to earth. We had a nice conversation and I had just moved to Connecticut from Louisiana. He said he loved my Louisiana accent. And let me tell you, his eyes were really that BLUE.

Paul Newman was in his Tiger Sunbeam sitting in his car waiting for the signal to change. We were both stopped on Franklin. His car was moving towards east, my car was moving towards west. Before the cars moved I looked at my left side and there was Paul Newman wearing a cap hat. I told my mom, Jane, there's Paul Newman. He was driving to Beechwood Street. Yes his eyes were bright blue eyes. That same day mom and I drove to the Market on 3rd and Fairfax. Sitting on a table drinking coffee ☕️ there was a man, wearing a white suit, white shoes, a straw hat, having coffee sitting on the coffee's island. It was Wil Geer I thought what a day. Mom and I both saw Paul Newman and Wil Geer on the same day. Wow. I'm Cindy Taylor. True fact. I was there.

The Kennedy Center Honors were created to honor artistic accomplishment and those who've had a profound impact in their particular artistic genre; it is not and was never meant to be a humanitarian awards ceremony Although there probably have been honorees who happen to be narcissists over the years it, in of itself, is not a "narcissistic" occasion.

I said “whew” and continued to walk along the passenger side of the car as I saw him go “whew”! As I got to the passenger window I looked at him and gave him another “whew”. She was blonde, buxom, stuffing her white t-shirt tied, showing her midwaist, covering with a denim shirt. Her hair was a flip like mine. Her blue eyes buggle out. Wears no make-up, naturally. Only a few later years did I see her in Paul Newman's movie titled "Cool Hand Luke" wear he played the cast character Luke. There she was stuffing a tight dress getting ready to tear the seams. There was Joy Harmon the same girl I saw at the theater. So I saw Joy Harmon and my mom, Jane, saw Paul Newman on Franklin driving to Beechwood a few years later. In the mid nineties Paul and Joanne used to come to Cooperstown n y on a weekend ride and pull up by the waterfront and sit in the car by the dock. But they would wave and talk to some residents as they drove through to get to the waterfront. The water was always so clear and blue. Very down to earth people. Never look at anyone has being beneath them . They gave to a lot of charities. Paul was a great actor. I think the children are very ungrateful for what he left each one upon his death. He did what he thought was fair. Him and his wife earned that money. Each child was grown ,had families of their own and good finances. He made sure his wife and life partner was taken care of and the rest went to charity. After all children grow up and move out but your spouse grows through life with you. The ups and downs.
