Nothing was wrong with Paul Pierce's first segment. Lebron is "debatably" top 5. When he came back 3-1, Lebron started being considered to be top 5. Somehow, despite not winning after that - not getting MVPs, not having the best seasons of the active players after that point - he somehow got boosted from "Maybe Top 5 player all time" to "arguably goat" without winning anything. How? Paul Pierce has a point. What Lebron has done is play for more seasons. Good seasons. But nothing impactful since 2016. You can argue for 2017 since he only lost 1 game before the Finals that year. But after 2016 he hasn't done anything to raise his standing. Where the random GOAT argument came from I don't know. I don't know how someone can say Kareem and Duncan didn't have better careers. Duncan didn't have that "super team" till 2007. Duncan carried them up till 04, got 2 rings that way - while being the best defender in the league. The prime Heat almost lost to the much older Spurs. I won't even go into Kareem and Magic.
