Paul Pierce isnt really playing the race card here as this is more a hoops thing. Its a little outdated now but most good white basketball players know and experience this. Even Larry Bird used to be "offended" when the opposing team put a white defender on him. Basketball is still considered a "black dominated sport" so it does stand out when a white player is balling. You brought up Jokic and Luka but they were the only 2 white players out of 28 in the All Star game.

It wasn’t racist at all. Let me break this down for you. White people kept black people out of sports for a long time until they realized blacks skills were superior in most if not all aspects. With that being said it then became a badge of honor for a white person to show they belonged when playing with black people. Black people gave props and knew when a white person can play. Black people made it a way of passage for white people because that was done to blacks. I don’t see anything wrong with what Paul said.
