What could anyone possibly say about him? I remember the 'scandal' back in the day. He went to a porno movie. I never understood why that was a scandal. People knew porno theatres and movies existed, people also knew that such theatres had customers - otherwise they would not have been able to remain open. The only reason it was a scandal was because he was Pee Wee. Just like the lead actor in Hogan's Heroes - he had some home movie equipment and liked to make sex videos. When he died, everyone went on and on about the 'scandal'. It was a very lame time to be alive.

I don't know if you're old enough for this reference, but when I was in my 20's, I had this absolutely crazy friend who was a lot like Steve Martin. One night we were at this place called the Holiday House. It was a bar/club attached to the Holiday Inn Motel. So, we decide to leave and the Motel room doors were of course, exterior doors adjacent to the parking lot with a sidewalk between. My friend starts going up and pounding on the doors and in a loud official voice saying: "Paging Mr Rocks on Rocks....Call for Mr Rocks on Rocks!" It's embarrassing and stupid because people are watching him do this, but you can't help but laugh. I was falling in the bushes laughing and he went to about 3 doors doing this. The guy was out of his mind. Before we left the bar, he casually strolled into the kitchen, back to the cooler and grabbed a 6 pack of beer and than just as casually strolled out. Not one employee stopped him or even gave him a sideways glance. The thing was, he never planned any of it and that's what made it crazy. It was all spontaneous. One of his best was the woman looking for a boyfriend for her daughter, but I don't want to write a book here.

Especially because his dad was a famous Israeli fighter pilot, Milton Rubenfeld, who "... is widely believed that Rubenfeld, the other four volunteer pilots, and the other machalniks changed the course of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War." So he certainly didn't fit any macho stereotypes. A fighter pilot who can sit down with his son and play tea party. Wow. Milton must have been an interesting and unique individual.

@Jeremy Schmidt I'm 62...😂 Does yours talk? Mine does, although the recorder is about worn out sad to say. I have a little pocket -sized bendy Pee Wee too 😁 I have a story... One Halloween, I found these Pee Wee Herman Halloween costumes at a discount store. Like the one's kids used to get in the 60s. My eyes neatly popped outta my head when I spotted them. It was about 3 days before a big contest at this popular club in town and several of friends and myself wanted to enter it. We literally had no ideas as to what we were going to do and then I happened upon those costumes... Hands down we needed no vote when I told them what I had found. Wicked funny. Better yet, they were adult sized though some ever so 'slight' adjustments had to be made in certain areas.. lol. Cost me I think..4 bucks a piece! I bought all they had. Included those masks too. So realistic. This was 1988? There were 5 of us... We went as Pee Wee's Posse! Of course we won!!! The music of the 80s was soooooo fabulous! The DJ played TEQUILA naturally and we had to do The Big Shoe Dance of course....👞😌 We got a trophy and all the tequila we could drink...😵 And CASH...😁 Good times indeed. 😁 Take care!😊

Yeah, the 1990 MTV Video Music Awards. I used to have that segment on VHS tape, just the beginning of the awards when he said “heard any good jokes lately?” and opened the show (I looked for it last year but someone taped over it, probably my sister). He got a huge positive reaction just by walking out on stage, even before he said anything. I know he made enemies in Hollywood, but it’s cool, he’s a man of the people. Regular people are his fans, not pretentious, SoCal dickwads.
