Before Paul passed away he asked that his band keep the Raider music alive. It was Paul that decided they call themselves Paul Reveres Raiders. Personally I think they are doing a fantastic job.

Why is it that any clips I see of oldies shows there are always people walking casually to their seats after the show has started. Can’t they get there on time?

Anyone complaining about “replacement players” remember that Curly was a replacement stooge and how did that work out?

This is Paul Revere's Raiders not Paul Revere and the Raiders, Revere died in 2014. His son Jamie Revere is now the leader of the group. Four of those guys on stage have been with the group 30 or 40 years or more. Before Paul Revere died he gave it his Blessing to continue the Group performing his legacy of music. I don't have any problem with that at all, they can rock the house down. Long live the music of Paul Revere and the Raiders 1960 - 2014, 54 years of rocking insanity

I know you mean well, but Jamie was never the leader of the band. They refer to Doug Heath as their musical director, so i guess that makes him the leader, although onstage, it's Darren that is the front man.

None that I know of-but there is one member in this group who is the son or one of the original members.

@L Ron Cupboard the original guys were long gone by the time the hits happened. The band started in Caldwell, Idaho, 1958; first record was Beatnik Sticks, 1960. A short time later, Paul was drafted, so the band folded, until Paul had completed his alternative service near Portland, Oregon; Paul put together a new band with various members, eventually making it big on Dick Clark's Where the Action Is tv show. The guys that were in the band at that time were in the right place at the right time.

Agree: this band is, IMO, "no fun". To paraphrase Frank Zappa, "they're only in it for the money"

I stopped listening to the Raiders when Mark Lindsay left. He took the signature sound with him. Now, he performs on high on the largest stage in Creation... I look forward to seeing him perform again one day. I hope you do, too... I'll save you a seat.
