actually, i get the impression he's actually been diving, and was just implementing some of his actual dives into the story. i love paul rudd, he's hilarious, but he's not a masterful improviser lol. listen to him on conan's episode, it's one of the BEST and funniest episodes, but paul can't keep up with Conan, who *is* a master at improv.

Correction from an actual scuba diver: nitrogen narcotics happens when you breath from an air tank for too long; you get dizzy and disoriented like you're drunk. Paul is talking about the bends, which happens when air bubbles form in your blood and yes, it can kill you.

PAUL RUDD has incredible chops. The whole time he was making up his story, Just out of experience and instinct, He knows that When a person is making up a story out of thin air his eyes often Shift to the right And back because hes accessing the Creative parts of the brain which are located on the left. So Paul Rudd keeps his head slight turned to the right not completely facing the listener and his eyes are completely to the left to make eye contact with the host. This is so when his eyes shift right they're just looking forward. He looks so natural and you want to believe everything he says even though he's George Santosing the whole bit.

you can fly the day after scuba diving. you're not supposed to fly the _same_ day, within the next 24 hours. after that you're OK. plot twist: Rudd actually takes the hypothetical flight the next day but dies from a cardiac arrest from an anxiety attack when he mistakenly remembers he wasn't supposed to fly that day, not knowing it was actually very OK to fly since he dove over 24 hours earlier.

I saw a dead body on my honeymoon in Puerto Plata. The whole time I was there things just went wrong, including my husband’s wedding ring falling off his finger into the ocean never to be seen again. Considering you only need 1 person in a group to speak english to translate, that basically means everyone in Europe speaks english. Also, these numbers get way higher in bigger cities, so as long as you dont walk into a small town somehwere in the mountains of hungary, you can speak english with about everyone. Except in France, but they still speak English, they just choose to not hear you.
