Sasaki was bawling when he gave up that 3 run homer in WBC. He might have more pitching experience but he lacks emotional maturity. Good thing he's got years left in NPB to grow a thicker skin.

i could def see skenes getting started in the majors when he gets picked. dont wanna waste his arm in the minors for a couple years then when he gets called up he's only throwing 97-98. just stick him up there while hes pumping 100-101 thru 120 pitches and see what happens

it's interesting because Skenes has more "MLB SP ready stuff" imo than Sasaki who as far as I know is still mostly going FB, Sinker. Skenes changeup and slider are so damn good for a college pitcher, but Sasaki's sinker is possibly one of the best pitches I've ever seen. Sasaki is still so young it will be interesting to see how he continues to develop.
@samurai_8917
@samurai_8917 Жыл бұрын
@@mobogdan4683 Sasaki throws 4seam, fork, slider and averages 12 inches of vert and 15 horizontal on his 4seam so that might be why youre confusing it with a sinker but his 4seam is just that electric. Only reason im giving it to Sasaki is his 2 years of pro ball with insane stats

C.B. Bucknor is downright horrible. He and Angel Hernandez absolutely do not deserve to continue being Major League Baseball umpires. They're flat-out terrible and no one likes them. Why the hell do they still have jobs? Skenes was absolutely filthy yesterday, his fastball is literally the holy trinity of velocity, movement, and control. Dude was out there painting with whiffle balls. That being said Sasaki has proven himself against higher competition, and he did have that perfect game and then almost had another perfecto his very next outing. Really tough to pick just one but I think we can all agree the futures for these two young horses is blinding. Also shout-out to the Giants kicking the fecal matter outta the Dodgers 15-0, always good to see that.

Here is the gospel: God says that we are sinners and that no amount of good works or behavioral changes on our part could ever make us holy enough to enter heaven. God sent His Son to pay for all of our sins. Jesus paid for our sins by dying on the cross for us all. His dead body was buried in a grave. On the third day, Jesus arose from the dead. The instant you believe this, He knows it and He saves you. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on Me hath everlasting life”(John 6:47). The free gift is based solely upon your trust in what Jesus did for you and has nothing at all to do with what you do for Him. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

The only people who think he’s throwing “a lot of pitches” are the people who only tune in and see his highlights and don’t really follow Lsu. 100 pitches give or take a few is what he’s thrown in all his starts. There was one exception in which he threw like 121 pitches or something around there and that was only because Jay Johnson had set it up to where Skenes got an extra day of rest, 1 more than he normally gets between outings. And guess what happened on the last pitch of that “extended outing”… he was still at 101 mph. He probably could have thrown more lol… The dude is a hoss. He is used to putting a ton of work on his body and arm. He used to be a catcher and then in games when they’d put him in as relief or to close a game out, he would also bat as well… he did all that while at Air Force so he had to do all those Air Force duties or whatever they have to do and then go do all that work in a baseball game. He said one of the best things that has helped him improve so much this year at Lsu is just the extra sleep he’s been able to get. The dude is just a fricken machine. He’s a work horse and truly an amazing/special talent. If he felt like he was tired or was throwing to many pitches he would say something, he’s not shy and he knows his body really well.
