The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 on Thursday July 11, 2024. Paul Skenes went 7 scoreless innings and set a franchise record recording 7+ strikeouts in eight consecutive starts and tied his career high of 11 strikeouts in a single game. Yasmani Grandal hit an RBI double in the 7th inning to bring home Jack Suwinski to put the Bucs up 1-0. Colin Holderman and Aroldis Chapman finished the game to secure the Pirates win and take the series.
