Car explosions? How droll! A mechanism for knifing someone in the back? How dreadfully amusing! Would have appreciated some background information, but I looked it up on Wikipedia, I've got to get my money's worth for my donations to them. Apparently, this was originally broadcast in 1965, on BBC radio, I presume. But this is was a rebroadcast at a later date. One of the comments in between the segments refers to The Onion website, which I'm pretty sure did not exist back in the 1960s. Argh. I've noticed this in early radio shows, but I would have thought that by the 1960s they'd have gotten over it. I'm talking about the lack of narration. All the action that happens is described by the characters, sometimes to an almost absurd point. Did they really think a narrative voice-over would be too confusing or distracting for listeners? 2:48:05 It's playing backwards! What the heck? 2:49:47 Why the song at the end? It's nice, but has nothing to do with Paul Temple, as far as I can tell.

@@katieclarke1352 I didn't say I disliked it. I was just commenting on how "British" it is. Who else but the British would be so concerned about politeness and manners when it comes to blackmail and murder?
