I was vacationing on the island and began experiencing heart problems that required a trip to the hospital on the mainland. The island clinic called the airport where a flight was about to takeoff. They said they'd hold the plane until we could get there. Much appreciated.

An absolute legend. A pilots pilot, and a hell of a great guy as well. Would happily go to the ends of the earth to help out a fellow human, or a dog. This is fact, not embellished for the news one bit.

Paul wasn’t the one who died.

@@chrisambrose8838 Wow. Sorry to make the mistake. The report I saw had Welke flying. So much for news accuracy. Tragic, but a great documentary.

@@chrisambrose8838 Is it true he has 35000TT? I had a friend who had 28000TT and thought that was almost unbearable. I really like the dedication to the community by both the airline.

Great documentation!! But a little overdramatized with the whole “they woulda died” bit goes overboard. If it wasn’t for Paul the dogs “woulda died”,,,if it wasn’t for Paul the twins “woulda died”. Come on, I’m not heartless but geez we get it. The guys a saint but the dramatics are a little much 🤷♂️j/s
