I couldn't imagine anyone better to play this character than Paul Wesley. I actually decided to watch this series because I heard that Paul was going to play a bad guy. As we know from Vampire diaries, he is REALLY good at being bad. Plus, I am a fan of Danielle. Gotta say, the show did not dissapoint.

No dragged out storylines just a great cast telling great stories (no pun intended). Kevin is a genius and the cast is so good. Danielle and Paul are my favs and this is so exciting!!!

*After 5th season The Vampire Diaries, itself picked up again. I also hate "dullena" but they never were the focus, neither in 5th neither in 6th. And TO really fell down after season 2. Everything there was about that "cheesy family dramas" and the last 2 seasons were mediocre to bad.*

@@jonanpeppers6448 I disagree to an extent? I just didn't like Elena anymore after she turned. It turned me off the whole show, it became all Delena and I didn't love the main character(Elena) anymore. I loved the ensemble enough to keep watching and you're right it was still good post season 5. But by then I was kind of done I feel like the show already peaked, it just never felt as good to me after the Originals left. Originals I loved! The only season I thought fell apart was the 5th when they were clearly just trying to set up Legacies. I think it was just a better basis, the driving forces being family and power within the original family with the city of new orleans being the best backdrop. It never felt "cheesy" to me, it felt more intense and mature than tvd, none of the stupid teen drama it was all next level with more history. More into the supernatural world. And that's saying something considering how much I LOVE tvd.
