The entire book of Elijah is about a battle of altars. At those moments of Elijah's weakness God strengthened his faith and spirit so that he could defeat the evil pagan altars which had taken over the nation. The rebuilding of al altar brought about the destruction of hundreds of pagab priests who attended the evil altar. Then God sent Elijah to the birthplace of Jezibel to do miracles and strengthen him enough so that God could use him to defeat her and the evil behind her because she was the primary and Supreme attendant to the evil altar of baal. The key to his victory however was that God had to use Elijah repair the altar of God and the altar is what was necessary for the victory. As believers we are living altars, but we also have e built the church altar. We need to strengthen both the living altar and the church altar at the end of this age.

I don't understand why everybody wants the loving, merciful, gracious God, but can't stand the holy, just, sovereign God. His threats are as strong as His promises. If you are the recipient of His grace and mercy, you should fall on your face in tears of thanksgiving. You could have been the recipient of His holy justice and wrath against your own personal SINS. And, like mine, they are many.

I am rejoicing with the Lord and His angels because the battle belongs to the Lord and He has already placed His Spirit and my spirit in control of the outcome. Proverbs 21: 1 "The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the [a]rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes." It is impossible to play with God and His chosen ones. God has turned around every circumstance for good and for great, establishing righteousness, justice, truth, and victories for His chosen ones. Proverbs 11: 21"Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; But the posterity of the righteous will be delivered." He is the God who delivers and He will establish justice, righteousness, and truth for His chosen ones forever.

Here is the rub, the issue; we were made in his image. So we have to take that free will, autonomous and self determinate nature and daily put it on the alter for God to use. I don't understand why some say this isn't worship but that it's entertainment. Are we not supposed to be entertained and be energetic when praising God? God may well hit me with a lightning bolt for being presumptuous. If I demand something from Him I deserve lightning bolts. God does as He pleases, always as He pleases, and only as He pleases. Psalm 103:3 "Who heals all your diseases". If you're a believer, death will heal that disease. "No more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain, for the former things have passed away." Rev 21:4. Oh and btw, we will be here for the tribulation. Otherwise God wasted words telling us about it.

Psalm 16:11 "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Church is supposed to be joyful and fun and rebuking for sinning christians or non-believers, so they can believe and turn to Jesus. Delivering Jesus' message gives that. For expressions of love there are no boundaries, when it's guided by good principles. So why hate that these people love God and give Him praise, which He deserves?
