I love Paula but she could have been up for an academy award here for best dramatic actress. Had she come on the show and just said something to the effect of “yes, I have used that word. I’m not proud of it and I understand I’ve hurt many people with this admission, but we all make mistakes and I ask for your forgiveness.” She probably could have halved the backlash she received.

I'm a very southern country boy from North Carolina and I don't hate blacks but we have used the word a few times both us whites and blacks and I got black friends who love paula Deen and wish she would have never been fired but shes on KZbin now.
