I have really enjoyed this trip with you so far. I had no inclination to go to Vietnam prior to this. I’m so happy that people are lovely. I work with honor flight, which is an American organization with 130 cities to take our military veterans to Washington DC to see their memorials. While we include World War II, Korea, and Vietnam veterans, our flights are probably 80% Vietnam veterans. It was an awful time in American history, where people who did not believe in certain subjects were really hateful and mean. I hope we can learn something from their stories.

That Bahn Mi looked delicious! There are very large Vietnamese communities in Washington State (USA) where I live, so, fortunately, that means many Vietnamese restaurants! Such good food!

Is it only in Vietnam that you wore life jackets on the tenders

We didn't use tenders in Cambodia. But also never wore lifejackets on another tender too!

It sounds so very loud in the dining room, like a school cafeteria. Is that just the audio or is it really that loud and every meal.

How did the local villagers deal with the communist government ? What future did the children have with their education? Probably leave their village and move to the big city?
@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel7 ай бұрын
Things have vastly improved now and education is a very important and opportunities do exist for education in some of the villages. Some do leave for education in towns and cities too.
