Thank you SO much Paul. I have only had my guitar for 6 weeks & never imagined that I would be playing something that resembled Wonderful Land in such a short time. A very easy tutorial to follow & you speak so clearly! Thank you again & my best wishes

Excellent job on teaching this iconic Shadows tune. This is my first E.guitar song and thanks to you I have nearly all of the moves down in one morning. Now I need to spend a couple of weeks getting it up to speed! Many thanks!

Amazing video, as they all are. You are by far up there with the top guitar tutors. Being a novice player and a big shadows fan you are a God send! Is there any chance, should you get the time, do a vid showing how to play 'Crocketts Theme' from 80's Miami Vice? It's a an awesome track. Thank you one again for all your hard work and sharing. 👍🏻🎸

Great instruction video. Thank you so much. Could you possibly share with us how you achieve the echo/delay sound? That seems to be a trade secret, but you have mastered it quite well. Thanks
@Paulcampion-musiccouk8 жыл бұрын
+James Duggan I used a Boss DM-2 in standard mode with the repeat at about 40%, the echo about 30% and the intensity about 60%. Check out this video I found with Hank discussing delay. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpzEh6udmt5srZY

Very easy explanation on the playing of this song. It is good if you can also find the tabs on it with with this video on you tube.
@Paulcampion-musiccouk8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Garry. I'm avoiding doing tabs; it's something of a grey area where copywrite's concerned.
@garryconley8 жыл бұрын
I like tabs but I have no problem paying for them to us much like you would with sheet music. I use your teaching and the tabs for reference, both your teaching and the tabs are for me excellent. Thank You for showing me how to play a great Shadows song, I have several albums by them.

Thank you for this great tuition, its helped me a lot. Please can you let us know what echo unit you use to get the shadows sound, and how to set it up. Also what amp do you use please.
@Paulcampion-musiccouk7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Michael. I used a Boss DM-2 in standard mode with the repeat at about 40%, the echo about 30% and the intensity about 60%. It's not going to be exactly right but It gives a passable Shadows sound. I think for this song I used a Vox AC30 amp.

This is Single Melodic line music, with a lot of guitar echo. Do you not have a full fingerstyle arrangement: Melody; Harmony and Accompaniment - all on one guitar? If so, please teach it.

Hi paul can you tell me what echo pedal you using for shadows songs as I need to buy a good echo pedal
@SaxJockey6 жыл бұрын
Very good lesson, thanks for sharing. Naming the sections makes it easier to follow. The number of sections might make this one of the more complex instrumentals from the Shadows? It is a really nice piece, no wonder it was in the charts for so long, probably liked by both kids and parents when released.

This instrumental has a great melody, but it also becomes magical with the correct echo repeats. The echo used here is way too simple - if you are going to attempt this melody - get it right! Hey ho.
@SteveAdamsCPD4NLP4 жыл бұрын
Disagree. It's simple so us non-guitar maestro's can follow along with our cheap and cheerful guitars and amps, and not worry about the techie stuff.Great video, and one of the few Ive managed to actually stick with until I can actually play it!
