Happy Sunday Paul! Great intro with the flowers and music. Gillette Silver Blue blades are very keen...I get tender faced after 3 passes. I agree with the Palmolive shave stick performance...I used it just last night, easy to lather, and my face felt wonderful in the post shave. My razor of choice was the 1917 Gillette Old Type, loaded with a Brazilian Gillette Platinum Plus blade. That combination made for a great bread buster. Mostly a DFS after the 1st pass. You are very inspiring with your upbeat personality. Superb shave as always, Paul. Take care.

Putting the blade back in the packet, and writing a tally directly on the paper works well for me! Easy to keep track of and easier to keep tidy! Another great shave Paul, hope you and Mrs H are well, all the best and best of luck for the run!

Palmolive is my goto soap. Used to buy them for 10 SEK. Suddenly it disappeared from the markets here in Sweden and was gone for a year. Now it is back again this year but cost 40 SEK! (About £3). Thanks for nice video and flowers.

Bought the Palmolive stick from watching you use it and i love it. Way out performs soaps triple it's cost. So I bought 2 more and grated them into a bowl with a lid and that works great!

11/06/18 Had my 2nd 'Proper' shave in 41 years today. I had 8 days of growth, my Futur Gold was delivered, what more motivation did I need LOL. I used Futur Gold on No.1, with W/Sword blade, pre-shave oil from Executive-Shaving, TOBS Organic and finished with Nivea cool balm. So far feels good.

The Lord L6 is a budget king. I've got one in my travel dopp, and one for general rotation. At first I thought I would not care for the lightweight handle, thinking of just throwing a weightier one on it, but being longer than average, it suits it well and provides a perfectly good shave. Humphrey's witch hazel is tops, and Palmolive is also a budget king.

I have been shaving for more than 40 years now Paul, had all the fancy soaps but for me Palmolive shines up there above the rest, I tend to grate the soap into my Rolls Razor bowl which is a rare item I think. Question for you what do you do with your old blades.

Great soap isn't it John, and why it's still around most likely, I keep my old blades in a jar, then take them to the recycling plant well marked "blades"

I used an empty steel food tin, tin cans are made of steel these days, the same as your blades (you can easily check using a magnet). I welded the cap on with 3 spot welds and I slide the blades down the gaps between the cap and the tin (you have to slightly bend them to get them in so they can't drop back out). I've marked the tin saying it contains steel razor blades and my thinking was that it can be melted down without being opened. I'm not sure how much platinum the blades actually contain?

Good morning, as a beginner I used for half a year some more expensive razors from Mühle, Merkur, Wilkinson, and the 'King C. Gillette'. I've tried many types of blades. I can make dense lather. I wanted to see if I could use cheaper razors to give information to acquaintances. The experiment with the L6 and the Lord Platinum blade went wrong. There was blood in the bathroom, it was a bloodbath.:-)

Ran out of the green woodspice :-( must get some more, love the scent. Gillette Silver Blue is up for my Wednesday blade test. I expect it to be as good as the rest of the PPI blades. Last one I tested was the Nacet, fantastic blade very smooth & comfortable. Keep the videos coming Paul.

Great shave Paul 😌👏 You do love your Palmolive, but I’m exactly the same with MWF, I could happily use it every day. That razor handle reminded me of an aluminium Gillette Tech, but the head sounded very different. I saw loads of sticks of Palmolive in my local supermarket, and I thought of you when I managed to walk away without buying them. I hope that isn’t sacrilege. 🙄 Lovely flowers LH and well done on the run 😌💐

Slant 37 with the same blade equals 1 pass plus touch up to 3 passes with Lord. If they took all my soaps away and left me with just 2 I’d pick Palmolive Stick and the Paraso green....I love those 2 soaps. Btw I really enjoy my Lord razor for $10 how can you go wrong. Nice shave, Paul.

Why use both an AS and a balm? Doesn't the balm cancel the scent of the AS?

It can cancel the scent yes, but if I want the scent to last, I would add it after the balm a bit later on after the shave.

Hi Paul another fantastic shave. I have the Palmolive Menthol shave cream from Europe and I just live the mint smell and that cooling menthol.. Also a nice post shave feel and cushion.. I've yet to try that classic in cream or stick form. What's the scent like? Hope the run went good for Mrs.H, congrats for her on getting to participate.

Great shave as always!! Paul I like to see u do a 3 razor shave, first pass aggressive, second pass mid range, third pass mild razor , all razors use same blade one time use and same soap or cream ,only you could make it interesting coupled with all the nuances that go with a 3 razor shave .

he likes a thick soapy coating on his face. he prefers to add water to the brush if needed. it keeps the soap from getting too "wet" or foamy. nice to see another female wet shaver. I've been shaving my face (YUP) and it is the softest and healthiest it has ever been.

Hi Alexandru. I'd recommend your friend tries ASDA or Morrisons. Tesco can be a bit patchy in terms of stocking the stick in my experience.

I use a permanent Sharpie marker to put a dot on a blade after each use. Then, I just count the dots to know how many times I've used a blade!
