I love watching her, she has such a presence on stage. She looks so regal, so poised and so feminine. Not girly, but like this womanly beauty, its hard to explain. And she owns the stage with just this simple power. She is not all in your face attitude power but this simple, as soon as she steps on stage you just have to give her your undivided attention way. She doesn't even have to move yet and you are entranced. I thinks its even more powerful and beautiful than if she was a boom, booms die out, but she wont.

+This Light Bitch She's actually quite petite in person. Video distorts all perception of true size somehow, whether it be because of lighting or distance or number of people in it. BTW it's not fair to compare every dancer you see to the image of the standard stick-thin ballerina. Since when does a dancer have to look like a stick-thin ballerina to not be considered "big"?

She's awesome!! I see remarks in reference to her 'thickness' too much...that was the excuse they used, back in the 1960s and 1970s, as to why African Americans were 'not suited' for Ballet. Yet The Alvin AIley Dance Theater is one of the top companies in the World today. I can't believe that the preponderance regarding size is still an issue in the 21st century! All that muscle will save her joints from wear and tear I am a former dancer and have Degenerative Joint Disease -- something you young dancers will have to look forward to in varying degrees. LoL. My orthopedic Dr. informed me years ago that because of my larger muscle mass, which means thick, strong tendons and ligaments, my hips and knees (especially) did not experience as much wear and tear.as an athlete with smaller musculature. That's why female dancers get Osteoarthritis more than the males. Strength + Balance = Grace and this young lady is just getting warmed up. She's got many more years ahead of her.
