And when the issue of slavery pops up it's ugly head, one cannot help wondering that many think that whites or Europeans invented slavery. When in fact it is a universal scourge. @@madmax07ish which areas are a major concern? Usually i suppose racism concern is applied for the rights of minorities to ensure they arent left out. But i think this is becoming a concern for majority now. Where would you feel sidelined as a majority. I am assuming you are the majority race.

@@writereader One example that I'm aware of would be the Australian army pressuring recruiters to be much harsher on men than women, in an effort to balance a large male majority in the armed forces. I remember this gaining a lot of attention a while ago, since of course men would be prejudiced against joining. If you were to apply this to ethnicity, it would be unsurprising to find some companies favouring minorities in applications when their current employees didn't fill a certain quota. Also, I believe that everyone should be protected by the same laws, including when implemented due to a single group's need of them, for the sake of principal. Not applying laws to everyone will always leave space for injustice towards those unprotected, even if rare. This is speaking presuming that Pauline's suggested motion brings anti-racism laws for whites to an equal level with those for minorities, as opposed to implementing anything exclusive.

And rejected on the basis of being that race? I am curious to know because of the top of my head i cant think any. However what i have seen is that there are small jobs that specify languages or at times even ethnicities. For example for certain jobs speaking korea arabic or mandarin is must. This disadvantages locals at times. On the other hand, corporations outsource many jobs over seas. I have often wondered why cant they be legally prevented from doing this . Its enables tax evasion and creates loss of jobs and in many instances it lowers service standards.
