After the man provides all that its still 50/50 whether it works or not without most or all of that listed there is no chance. KZbinrs are selling a dream to western men, who have been screwed over by western women and culture, for views trying to convince them that the Phils is different. Not to mention the horrific attitude and often less-than-pleasing appearance. Here, an older gentleman can walk up to a pretty grad student and have a fantastic conversation, and even get her number. I've been in the Philippines since August (from the US) and I'll tell you what the difference is like. In the US, the dating scene is so hopeless, many men have simply given up. Date women without children. Lease the land for 25 years in the guy's name, with a 25 year extension and the option to buy (if the guy so chooses, in the Filipina's name). The guy finances, builds, and owns the house. 50 years enough for you? Set limits on familial support. If she can't reach a reasonable agreement, "NEXT !!" Bills here are dirt cheap. In fact I have zero expense for AC and heat based on my geographical choice. In fact, the building has no heater or air conditioner because the temperature is in a constant comfortable range year-round. I also have experience with solar and it's awesome. Marriage is a choice, not a mandatory requirement. If she doesn't want to be a good partner, someone else will be happy to be. Yeah, I think I covered it all.

Imagine going to Central or South America to find a woman. Flying under 5 hours instead of traveling 24-30+ hours to the Philippines. There is this kneejerk, almost suicidal empathy for that country with passport bros. "Yeah there's a lot bureaucracy and everyone is on island time" - no it's well beyond that. It took me a long time to realize but everyone not upper middle class or higher in that country remind me of black Americans I grew up with in Chicago. Even black Americans want to escape that so why move 8000 miles to live amongst it? If it's not a condo or gated community with everything you need within a few miles, you messed up.

So we get advice for years about how great Filipina's are and how great your relationship are, only to see that it is no different than anywhere. Okay, I don't know if it is her fault or his fault or both, but it doesn't matter, just the fantasy bubble has popped. We have people with failed relationships telling us how great their new relationship in the Philippines is so much better only to see them have a failed relationship in the Philippines if we wait long enough. One divorce is enough, don't get remarried unless it is final, that is your going to kick the bucket in a few years and you want to give your assets to someone.
@keith-kb1zl18 күн бұрын
I think the divorce rate in the states is up to 60 percent.. if it wasn’t for the fact that a lot of married couples have kids, or divorce lawyers basically rape you I think it would be 80 percent or more 😖😖 I don’t know any of my friends that got married when they were young that are still married..
@tryscience17 күн бұрын
I don't see that at all. You're welcome to speak for yourself, though. The way I see it, Filipina culture is FAR more conducive to lasting relationships (and indeed, allowing the relation to even exist in the first place), versus Western culture that values independence and has sadly embraced toxic attitudes towards men in many cases. That said, cultural differences alone are not enough to prevent some relationships from failing. As wonderful as they are, Filipinas are as human as the rest of us, and sometimes relationships fail because of the man, anyway with no fault of her. (speaking in general here).

If you marry filipina you are legally obligated to support her and her relatives. It's the law but most don't pursue it. Once she married him she gained life support if worse comes to worse financially. This includes school and health. See Filipina Pea video with lawyer on this issue. If he stayed together after only a year he got played. She might care for him but the marriage was not based on love. She stayed long enough to lockin the retirement plan. Get prenuptial and add clause that if youre paying bills for family you get a permissiveblien on any property so you can force a sale later of you get fleeced for taking care of all family including brothers grandkids mother father sisters etc. Its a crazy law but it keeps the gvt from having to support these poor families and abandoned children and women, which is actually more common than ones that stay together. If you meet a filipina and she has a chlid where the father is paying adequate support, if at all, you found a unicorn.

Having entered into matrimony with a Filipina, whom I encountered while pursuing our graduate studies in North America, I have come to understand that a successful marriage necessitates reciprocity from both partners. When one individual assumes the majority of the responsibilities or consistently prevails in decision-making, it may result in conflicts, much like automobiles that collide when they are only permitted to operate in a singular direction.

Regarding Social Security @10:00, you technically qualify for it once you have 40 working quarters in the US. That is just 10 years… it doesn’t have to be continuous either - it can be 10 years out of your whole working life. However, your benefit amount is based on your best 30 years worth of work history. If any of those years are Zeros, they average in as ‘zero’.

To me a marriage that barely lasts one year was destined to fail in the beginning. Chemistry, love, passion and trust is the glue and reason that brings you together and holds you together.
