Hi Paul! Easy way to do it. Just choose save as PDF, Hight Quality Print and Untick Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities. PDF files won't be huge

Previously the colors were fading while uploading the PDF to KDP. I used these settings and now the colors are fine and PDF files also comes under 5MB of size. Thanks!

You can download the cover template from KDP, then right click on the jpg image and choose "Open In" then your software progam. It will open in the correct size and you'll be able to see the pink areas where no text is allowed.

Great video! :) I also do in adobe illustrator. I did everything like you do in this video but I have a question: in the launch previewer in Amazon kdp my cover is a bit blurry. The same is true when my product is listed on Amazon - and when I enlarge the cover it shows pixels. I don't know what's going on, help!

No, that is too large. You would have to look at the other self publishing platforms like Lulu and Ingram Spark to see if they do that size.

Hi Paul (or anyone), I've followed this to the letter. My graphic and text are not showing up in KDP preview. They are showing up in the PDF. I thought at first I still had the rectangle showing over the graphic to center it, but I removed it. The template is also hidden. HELP PLEASE!!!
