when this song first hit the airwaves I though " yeah, its good, but he's just another generic soul singer", then a few years later I heard Candy and thought "why's he putting that accent on? It's interesting but is he trying to be folk now?" Then I really started looking into his music and realised he is sooooo much more! This guy has a gift. And his record company played it right by softening his accent when he debuted, before letting him be himself. His music and voice just seems to speak to me
