I first saw the consort in 1975 when I was 19 years old it was a truly profound experience. I went on to see them many times after that because of the feeling the music gave me. It was a true tribal experience. It wasn't based on a religious feeling but a more important one about the interconnectedness of life here on Earth. In this time of raw social and political division Paul's music speaks to us on a deep human spiritual level, spiritual yet organic, not found in holy books but in the beating of our hearts. If there really is a cosmic purpose for our existence then it is Humanity itself that is the keeper of life's meaning. Thank you Paul for reminding us through music that whether great or small all life is connected and important.☮️

I echo your beautiful sentiment. I first saw the Consort at the Boston Commons in 1979, and had the chance to interview Paul Winter for the Univ .of New Hampshire radio station. More than 40 years later, today in 2024 ....I feel ONLY the late Antonio Carlos Jobim approaches this mastery. George Martin produced the Beatles AND the live Winter Consort album entitled Road, and he felt Road was the singular greatest music he produced. I agree. Paul and company wed Bach to this current moment, and more, encompassing our Earth and our village of humanity. With this, I am and wiil continue to be forever grateful .....

Thank you, Paul Halley, for writing so much beautiful music for these concerts long ago. You should be credited below the video for all the compositions you wrote that Paul Winter relies on. Nice to see you looking so fit and trim at the piano and pipe organ for these concerts from 30 years ago.
