Thanks, really useful advice. I am hoping to build a dome when I return home to Dunedin, New Zealand and your information was very helpful.

Cheers mate. I have an issue with my application. I have ammended an approved plañ once which they accepted. I now need a second amendment but the council is saying I'm only allowed one free go. How do I go about amending the plans without having to pay the full cost
@Geo-Dome4 жыл бұрын
Yep they stopped multiple amendments because people where taking the micky. I know someone who did 15 amendments and the house was nothing like the original plans. Best thing is to make your plans generally a bit vague then you can interpret them with some flexibility. of coarse you can do whatever you like inside the house as this isn't taken into account with your permission.

This ‘advice’ is poor and misleading. For example, pre-application discussions with planners are always recommended, as is consultation with your neighbours before applying. DON’T deviate from the approved plans without getting approval first unless you enjoy the risk of enforcement action by the LPA and the cost of an appeal. And there isn’t automatic approval for industrial/commercial developments in the countryside.

I dont know about that! i went to planning for consultation discussion,and they said No before looking at anything i had to show them , very arrogantly,so no point showing what i had ,i just go in with both feet now ,so the man is right ,i took it planning not interested in amateurs

@@Andrew-ki5jz so you judge the whole planning system on one approach to the planners? His advice is seriously flawed for the reasons I’ve given
