How come nobody took video of how they paved it back in the 60's that would be impressive. Something tells me that the engineering of it was probably much more more impressive cause they didn't have the modern equipment of today's technology. But great job guys. N don't forget we need more motorcycle tracks here in america!!

I think back in the 60's they used a cable system along the top (outside) of the track and attached the equipment to the cabling to keep them up the banking....

Anyone with asphalt knowledge know how long the asphalt has to cure before any racing can take place?

It'll be fully cured within a few days. You could honestly race on it tomorrow if time was short.

Oh yeah for sure haha but I mean I deal with it almost every day repaving highways and we'll lay it down and by the end of the day cars are driving on it but they're not going 200 mph haha

@@Northgacatfish It will be raceble within days but, the asphalt generally takes around 6 months for the curing and let the oils and emulsions evaporite enough to where the oils are setting up.

Now maybe people who still don't understand asphalt will understand what you're doing. But I still think that you should have illuminated the water through the track the right way instead of using the run through asphalt. I still say eventually freezing is going to happen and cause issues. Watch and see !

They don't get enough freezing there to really hurt it... plus, the water runs through the ashpalt quick enough to completely drain it without retaining water to actually freeze. Without water to freeze and expand there won't be and freeze and thaw cycling to crack it.

They have freezing in Florida 🙄 Look at what happened to Texas last year 🤔 Guarantee you they haven't done research for that. I don't care what they do or what people think. All I'm saying is they should have done the job right and stopped the water from coming up from under the track to begin with.

@@MTCKIE68 Obviously you've never worked with asphalt! I have since 1991 pal... I know what I'm talking about. It's being used as a drainage layer! There will also be a waterproof layer applied as a finish layer to stop water from permeating through from below. The drainage layer is only for ground water seepage. Not to "Drain" the racing surface!!!

They're still not doing anything about that. I'm telling you right Now if they use Base asphalt and the regular asphalt that would last much longer than this Shit will. Because that Bullshit run through crap ain't nothing but pebbles and tack. Sad you are still working on asphalt, most likely all you have done is resurfacing and don't know Shit about repairs and failures. I'm retired and ran the crews. LMAO 🤣 🤣

You obviously don't know how drainage channels work within a substrate. You'll see however, that this will work perfectly and the racing surface will be a premium job well done! Enjoy your retar...
