I made this yesterday for Christmas Day. It was a showstopper! Thank you for the recipe. If there’s one thing I would add, it’s advice to sprinkle cornstarch on the parchment paper before piping the meringue on it.

Hi from the US. I started making these beauties 2 Christmases ago when I saw a how-to my Mary Berry. I have no intention of stopping. They're festive and delicious and simple to make. Not many people around here are familiar with them, so talk about a show-stopper! Happy Holidays to you.

What a gorgeous dessert! I once made a Pavlova for a family member for her birthday since she is gluten intolerant. She LOVED it! This is so much prettier with the wreath shape and colorful fruit. It's too bad I'm not in charge of desserts this year... :(

We - Russians - pronounce the name of Pavlova with a stress on the first syllable. Pávlova, not Pavlóva :) This dessert was named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. Light, airy and gentle as she was. :) Very beautiful wreath. :)

In my dream world you'd be a vegan chef...I love your energy & this is amazing. I'm wondering if I could do pavlova w aquafaba? Guess I'll find out lol...Happy Holidays!!☃️
@AnoukAlpha7 жыл бұрын
Of course you could :) Aquafaba meringues are a thing - just pipe it bigger/thicker for a pavlova/wreath, maybe bake/dry a little longer than you would for the cookies and then top as desired.
@catbrodeur6237 жыл бұрын
AnoukAlpha thx...I did some google searching after I saw this for plant based pavlova recipes. I'm still a baby vegan at 7 months so I needed to search some of my fav bloggers for a recipe because this wreath is a stunner 💚
@AnoukAlpha7 жыл бұрын
Oh I see - congratulations! :) Aquafaba community has really blossomed so I suggest you join the official facebook group Aquafaba (Vegan Meringue - Hits and Misses!). There's a recipe file for all kinds of aquafaba projects and everyone's happy to help with troubleshooting. I'd say basic tips include making sure you wipe down all the equipment with white vinegar, maybe reduce aquafaba (simmer for 10-15 minutes until some water evaporates), then cool it at least to room temp (out of the fridge whips best though). Adding a pinch of cream of tartar or citric acid or lemon juice is a great help, then just add white fine/castor sugar in small installments until the graininess is gone and aquafaba gets thick, then pipe or spoon onto the parchment paper. Hope it works out for you the first time round! :) x

@Yevakovalchuk7 жыл бұрын
Lisa Boban you came make it a day or two ahead and keep in air tight container . I have made it days before and put it in the freezer and that worked great
@AnoukAlpha7 жыл бұрын
May I ask why you put it in the freezer? It won't spoil at room temperature, it feels like an unnecessary step. Air tight container should be plenty to keep moisture out and not make the crunchy pavlova into a sticky/soggy mess.
@Yevakovalchuk7 жыл бұрын
I put it in the freezer because I made it more then two days ahead . And I thought it will keep better that way:)

@fatimah47427 жыл бұрын
Simon de B Roth just trace outside with a sharp knife and cut as much as you can off and add it on a serving dish. Or leave it and dust some icing sugar on the parchment to cover it a little and then add on a tray:)
@wheelien40716 жыл бұрын
The thing with meringue is that if it is well baked, it should just slide off the parchment paper. She could slide it off the tray onto a cake stand or nice serving platter and bring it to the table.
@SquidandCatAdventures6 жыл бұрын
I think the meringue would slide off easily, but I do agree that she should have shown that part, as that is trickier than all the time she spent on showing the fruit being placed.
