I was looking at my pavo 20 pro in betaflight and am wondering what UART5 is for? Mine is set to off but I have been flying the drone a few times, and everthing seems to be working ok. I'm really new to this and not very experienced in betaflight. Thanks.

Nice review! I have to say, when I saw the police car I thought you were in trouble. :) In Italy sometimes they want be authoritative with drone pilots although the ruler is ENAV (govt office for civil aviation)

Yea me too when I saw him in the camera but then i remembered that that’s the cops hangout spot when they have nothing to do and I have talked to that cop before he thinks the drone is cool 😂😂😂

Just got the 03 air unit today and installed it but am wondering if the cable from the drone to the 03 air unit only goes in one way. With my cable connected the red wire is on the right when looking at it from the back. It seemed to click in nice just don't want to fry anything. Thanks

The cable should only fit one way and make sure you have it fitted all the way in I have had it on enough for everything to connect but i couldn’t take off I had to use a pin to push the connector all the way in.

with these UART settings are you able to see the osd on your goggles?

i had to flash my firmware for SBUS, if you have this problem you wont be able to use the set sbus_baud_fast command, to fix just update firmware with SBUS, and then go to cli, and use the command, and boom i got it all working

Just received yesterday my 20 pro, its an amazing little power burst fellah. I do have a lot of prop wash when using full throttle or deacenting.

I got it to bind! Had to reupload the firmware on the dji controller using dji assistant. Only issue now is it’s not giving commands to the drone. So I’m sure it’s something with betaflight left. Also I’m surprised your left joystick just stays down in neutral. Mine stays locked in the middle

I would guess that now your problem is that you need to turn on sbus fast in betaflight. And to get the DJi controller to have the stick go all the way down you have to pull the rubber cover off the back and loosen the Alan key that is the joystick tensioner.

@ bro you rock. Thanks man. I just have to figure out why the controller 2 isn’t communicating with the drone. Maybe I have to do the command at the end the fast sbus thing. But when I write a command it just says failed or invalid. I see others have this issue

Got mine a few weeks ago. It’s a great little drone and it’s pretty tough. I’ve crashed it more than a few times.

No it won’t carry a gopro at all you have to purchase the DJi o3 air unit and install that and that is the best camera option for this drone. It’s to small for anything else

no you need a elrs drone to work with the ddi remote 2 as far as I know.

Hey buddy need a bit of help. Setting it up on betaflight. Arming is not working though. It’s showing that the throttle input is working on beta flight but when I hit the arm button, the only thing that works is yaw roll and pitch.

Your controller will link to the drone but the drone wont receive input from the remote.

To be honest I only know the setup for the DJi controller. I believe the setup is a little different if you use a different remote.

Acro mode is what the drone is set to by default. And you can learn about the CLI tab if you watch a few videos about the basics of betaflight

Let me ask this question if you could hopefully read this question and answer it. So I was wondering why I couldn’t bind my 03 unit to my controller 2. I think it’s because my pavo is an ELR model. So I’m guessing that can’t be compatible.? no matter what I’ve tried to bind them it’s not binding. If there’s anyway around this or if you guys have any extra tips or seen a elrs Pavo with a 03 bind to a dji controller 2 it would be awesome. I did get the 03 unit to buy into the goggles 2. I’m really bummed out. I can’t bind the controller.

The elrs drone is the right drone to use with the DJi remote. First thing I would do as I have done with way to manny times is use a pin to make sure you have the o3 air unit plugged in all the way. I have had it before Whare I just didn’t push it in far enough and it messed everything up. If that doesn’t work it’s most likely a problem with betaflight setup. It could be any number of things but most likely you need to turn on sbus fast in order for the drone to read the remote controller. Or you need to change the ports. I hope this helps out and you get flying soon.

Try to return the drones settings back to default and re link everything that’s worked for me with pavos in the past

I get about a little less than a mile of range with line of sight of the drone in city environments I have t tester to much in more open arias with less interference
