@@1023Endurance The creek was FULL of clams, oysters, flounder, croakers, big blue crabs and mystery. There were no homes on Debbie Du and that was always an adventure to swim the inlet. There was a lake on the other side with alligators. We'd throw milk jugs full of water at them to watch them explode when they snapped them. The shells...tons of shells. Star fish, conchs, fisherman's boats, ashtrays, tons. We had a real healthy fear of the Grey Man. We'd get to buy comic books at Lachicotte's when there was a rainy day. Then we'd get to go to Pirate Land and the Pavilion. Sometimes int he same day. There was Kings funland every other night. Trampolines in the ground, skeet ball and the tickets. OMG the tickets. We would save all summer. Place was paradise...er except for the jellyfish.

goofyfoot2001 makes sense. I’ve been coming since then but the 70s 80s and 90s for me was litchfield. Pawleys proper is new for us. Relatively speaking.

@@1023Endurance We spend one summer at litchfield by the sea when it was new. That wasn't bad.
