Picked up a bunch of exciting gold, silver, copper, and base metal rare coins from a pawn shop that I have a great relationship with, and was super excited to unbox it on camera. I had the package for a week and couldn't seem to find time to open it up, so I was really anticipating the fun that awaited. It didn't disappoint, so I'm excited to share that experience with all of you here!

Canadian provinces joined at different times, like US states. Newfoundland didn’t join until 1949 and had its own coinage as a British possession.

It was the Japanese, not the Nazis, that conquered the Dutch East Indies( now Indonesia)during WW2. Newfoundland was not a part of Canada until 1947 ,hence the separate coinage before then.

I believe he was referring to the Netherlands its self not being able to make coins for the East Indies because of the Germans

The old coins are very interesting, I wish you could spend a little more time showing every part of the really old ones. Honestly other than your knowledge I watch for the old coins.

16:30 maybe the used them as washers, to screw something down, instead of wearing those on a chain with an uneven hole in the middle🤔

The Canadian provincial silver coins that you are showing were minted prior to those provinces entering into The Dominion of Canada. They were separate British holdings when those coins were issued. Newfoundland and Labrador was the last province, admitted in 1949. You do not have a silver coin issued by Prince Edward Island! The only legal tender coin issued by Prince Edward Island was the 1971 large cent. PEI never issued a silver coin of any denomination.

Don't Nic-a-date that 2 cent coin. Nic-a-date only works on nickels. Not sure what it will do to copper but let's not find out. 😂

Where's a time machine when you need one, to trade silver for gold in the 1850's?

Please do not use Nic-A-Date on any copper coins. It will not work. I was a little disappointed you didn't go into any detail with the five cent silvers from Canada. It's a series I collect and am always searching for coins to fill in my missing spaces. Do you have a list of the dates of the five cent silvers and/or a scan of those coins?
