It is a Hofner, just not a German Hofner. It a CT (Contemporary) series, Korean made. Other than being right-handed, the first thing I noticed was the black knobs instead of teacups.

Really! Why the hell didn't they ask the guy? And FYI, it wasn't one of the first. It was THE first and it was the ONLY Beatles contract that the group ever had. Brian Epstein only drew up that one contract and it actually expired AFTER he died. After that the Beatles never signed another contract together. John, George and Ringo signed a contract with Allan Klein BUT Paul didn't which add to the animosity between him and the other three. They eventually saw the sense in Pauls refusal because Klein was something of a crook.

Cheetah Chenko it's not like any pawn shop. You fill out an application and you're going on a show. This creates an enormous amount of exposure. He also had a authenticated on TV, and that's his prof it's real when he takes it somewhere else to sell. It's not a bad strategy.

Cheetah Chenko The producers find people who have really amazing things they're willing to sell and they get them on the show to show it off, thus giving the person and their product exposure and gives the TV show some high end credit. You could go into this with absolutely no intention to sell, it's all to give the item (and the show) public attention

Usually, auction houses add a percentage for the buyer to pay. I got a vintage Omega watch for about $500 for my graduation, ended up costing $650.

Sold for 600k, if it was at an auction they take between 20-30%, so there goes 120-180k, the guy pocketed 420-480k. Depending on when he came into the shop he could have made more with the 350k then he did by waiting to sell it (if he had a few years that is) and Rick straight up told him he would be looking to sell it for 500k. i dont think 350k was too bad a price considering it wasnt going to have a massive commision + it was cash in hand on that day

Paul McCartney was a lefthanded man and this bass guitar is for a righthanded musician. The bass player of my group plays a good french copy of "violin" bass that looks like McCartney's one, but he often plays a Fender Precision standard model. Brian was absolutely referred to as the fifth Beatle until his untimely death. I've just read a book about him called The Fifth Beatle!! Stuart Suthcliffe actually WAS the fifth Beatle until his untimely death and George Martin too was often referred to as the fifth Beatle. George Harrison said there were ever only two 'fifth' Beatles, Derek James and Neil Aspinall and George should know, he WAS a Beatle. :D
