I could say that he's a conman because he appraised signatures in the past and he said that those were faked, but proven to be legit. It's a Hoffner 500/1 Bass that became affectionately known as the Beatles bass, Sir Paul still uses them to this day. Very iconic.1964 i think with the pick guard or 65. These can be bought between £500 - £1300 here in the UK.

His Hofner 500/1 bass is officially listed as 1963, though some of its features were from 1962, so technically it's transitional. He removed its pickguard sometime during the 1966 World Tour. His 1961 Hofner bass was stolen during the filming of the 'Let It Be' film.
