If he had paid $4500 I might have said $4600 but not $5k. I based the $4500 on his desire to acquire the item and what the few left (in that good of condition) are selling for. Ones that nice don't show up often but they do hit the market from time to time. I stand by my assessment. . Also if you call the pawn shop and offer to buy it; I would be he wouldn't sell it for $4500.

If Rick is buying something TO SELL in his pawn shop; people should expect he will pay only half to 3/4 the "retail price" (he does have to make money) But with this object, he is not buying it to resell for a profit. Thus it would be reasonable for Rick to pay the FULL retail value. PS: Rick if you see this; please let us know: wouldn't you have paid $4500 for this item? (Be honest.....)
