According to records on a comic book database site that keeps tracks of recent sales, an unsigned graded 6.0 (Fine) Hulk #1 just went for 28,800 about a month ago and a 6.5 went for 40,000. Typically, Stan Lee signature adds around 20-50% of the value especially for an extremely rare book.

@@cchavezjr7 personally I wouldn’t be too interested because he can’t get that comic graded by CGC without them putting on the label “Stan Lee written on cover” but I’m sure plenty of other people would be because they could get it authenticated or send it CBCS where they would authenticate it for the buyer. Stan Lee’s signature definitely raises the value though.

THIS HAPPENS IN EVERY PAWN STARS VIDEO: 1. Person come in with something really good to sell. 2. The man at the counter takes a look at it. 3. The person gives a price they think is fair (and is fair). 4. Counter man calls in a specialist to check the item(s) out. 5. Specialist give a price that's also fair, he/she then leaves. 6. Guy at the counter says "I'm not gonna be able to do that price" or "how about (blank)". 7. counter guy and person go up and down in price. 8. Person get's fed up and leaves with his item(s). 9. There is no deal.

Stan Lee's signature is pretty common. And the fact that he's still alive, there's gonna probably still be even more of his signatures floating around. So his signature really wouldn't be worth that much. It's not like if there's a Batman comic signed by Bob Kane. Bob Kane's dead now, so you can't get his signature anymore. That's something that could be worth a lot. But Stan Lee's signature really wouldn't up the value much.

Corey: “Forty thousand seems awfully high for comic books that were twelve cents back in the day.” This man is wise. And $3M seems like an absolute ripoff for Superman one, which sold originally for a dime. Corey should lecture at Comic-Con and straighten out the fiscally foolish comic book collectors. Face value is a dime? Then it’s worth a dime. Any questions?
