The lawsuits are all filed against his coleugue, which because the same guy was referred to as his "mentor", everyone believes he was involved in the same acts..this is something we were all brought up to be known as guilty by association..if you check the actual facts, rather than just assume what any particular media outlet decides to sell you, you would in fact find out the truth about the actual story..but you won't, so you'll believe whatever someone on the internet is true..this has been a problem for an entire generation, maybe 2 by now..

Not really. Unusual, but not strange. Many customers have a price in mind, which is very similar to the retail price. Some have no idea what it's worth, and just highball Rick to see what they can get.

Yes bro mine was too but when you get into notarizing, become A guarantor, or get into a profession where your signature is worth something, you will be told, to keep your signature consistent. When I became a guarantor I had to practice my sig within margins. Over and over. Now it’s exact every single time. Before it was dif every time.

It's not fake per se, it's a document from a contemporary copybook. Washington's correspondence was copied into notebooks by an aide-de-camp or secretary as the original letters were sent out. In some cases, the originals are lost and only preserved in a copybook.

What is ignored is the fact it was addressed to Henry Lee, "Light Horse Harry" was the commanding General During the "Whiskey Rebellion. It's good chance it was copied by Henry Lee or a Lee family member, if that could be determined it still has some monetary and historical value

I know how he got the mirror story A couple years ago a guy bought a picture frame from a flee market. He didn't care about the picture only the frame. After dismantling the frame he found a copy of The Declaration Of Independence inside. I think thats where this dude made his storyup from.

Seller should have ran to the appraiser and asked for his number as well as help to sell it to people who would pay near that. Bet appraiser would turn him down, but people in similar field might direct him to people that might get most value. Auction may charge fees, but can't imagine that they would require over as much as Rick took from this deal. Probably not that close.

Let me get this straight. Expert decides this is a "contemporary copy" of a Washington letter. Yet the signature looks completely different than an actual Washington signature. So Washington authorizes a contemporary copy and then applies a fake signature? This whole thing is kind of ridiculous and somewhat sketchy.

The letter is not a fake (fake implies an attempt to defraud). It is what the historical document expert says it was a "Contemporary Copy". What is ignored in the video is who it is addressed to. I was able to catch a glimpse of it and it was addressed to Henry Lee. Henry "Light Horse" Lee was the commanding General tasked with quelling the "Whiskey Rebellion", he was also the father of Gen. R.E. Lee. If it could be determined Henry Lee or a Lee family member copied the letter it still would be of some historical and monetary value. It makes sense also it was found in Richmond

Ok simple math here. The letter is a copy, so either the original letter is signed “geo” and not “ge” like the expert says is normal. Or the person copying the letter signed it “geo” instead of copying exactly what was signed? The latter makes no sense If this is the main reason he says it is a fake then it could still be real cuz what the expert says makes is inconsistent
