Yeah he's always got an interesting story, but in the context of what this show is actually supposed to be about he's no help whatsoever. Rick always just ends up guessing (aka lowballing) and the seller has no idea what he really has.

He needs to know if it is legit first. Not all appraisers are authenticators. An appraisal is worthless if you dont verify it is real first.

That's not true. Rick had called Mark to look at railroad passenger cars from the 1930s and Mark said that the cars were with either $1 million each or together, I don't remember which

I don’t know why they call this guy when they need a price. He’s a historian, not an antiques dealer. He’ll tell you exactly what it is and where it’s from and that but he doesn’t tend to know how much they’re worth.

Every pawn stars episode be like: 1. Person comes in with item 2. Rick geeks out about it, gives a lot of cool info and is excited about the item 3. Calls in an "expert", which usually says the item is worth a good amount 4. Rick offers less than a quarter of what the item is worth

The B-24 Liberator bomber was manufactured by Consolidated Aircraft, not Douglas. Hard to believe this guy is the CEO of a company dealing with military antiques and didn’t know that.

Salt water corrosion means naval aviation. Army Air Forces bombers that made it back to base intact never spent much time exposed to salt water.

Most pawn shops don't value the stuff in front of the customer. To do so would put them outta business so fast. Experts aren't free a deal will walk to the next store than wait for your buddy. There's good reason they pay as little as they do

No one is forcing people to SELL to a PAWNSHOP they can always decline the offer and take it somewhere else but they still took the money. You don't go to a pawn shop for top dollar price on the thing that your selling you go to a pawnshop to get money fast educate yourself people!
