I owned one of these, a 1978 model for 3 years. Yes, they are temperamental, somewhat underpowered but all the same fun to drive and if you are mechanically inclined not too hard to find parts for and easy to work on. The motor itself is reliable, keep the oil changed, ensure the alternator is charging and the radiator filled. Other than keeping a close eye on them, these cars are are simple to maintain and deliver good gas mileage. My ex wife sold the car out from under me when I was out, came back and saw the car was missing! didn't even get the $ she got for it, she just wanted the thing gone so she could park her car there! wound up losing her too the next year! I think the car was the keeper, while the woman just got recycled onto a "friend".

Vegas is actually a really small area, so him living pretty close might not be that far fetched. But the thing is, everything on this show is set up by appointment. They arent going to have a live camera crew just standing around, while Rick randomly meets a person for a deal - and then sit there for 40 min while his expert arrives. I mean, what if Rick calls his expert, and they are busy. What if there is traffic? Do all those people just sit there and wait? The answer is NO! There have been numerous people that have worked on the show on the crew side of things. And the actual sellers/ the bargaining sections are 100% real. They aren’t scripted. And they dont do cuts while filming, except when they get the expert on. Which they then resume. But people seem to think that means all of this is fake. No. The actual sale part is real. But they have to plan it out. This means people “apply” for the show. They apply to sell their goods on the show. And the store decides which sellers would make for a good segment on the show. Which items, are worth being filmed. So of course they have to set up an appointment with these people. Doesnt mean its fake. Just means that its planned, and edited. Thats to be expected.
@mr.bannana90485 жыл бұрын
Some of it isn't scripted some of it is I should know cuz I met Rick at his pawn shop when I visited there he was with a customer and there wasn't any cameras and so was chum I did see rebecca she's hotter in person
@fasteddylove-muffin64155 жыл бұрын
@@mewgiah8057 I can understand how they would do this when they are leaving the store--how they would know which of their experts they would need to call in but I'm doubting it works this way for people that come into the store. Which isn't all that bad in that they could shot around it--move on to other segments/scenes while the expert is called in & gets to the store.
