Pawn shops are the worst place to sell items like this. Only advantage is you can walk in and out with money.

It costs money to sell that ring and he could be sitting on it for a while. Dude has a business to run. Rick gives incredible deals to people that no normal pawn broker would because he has a tv platform to advertise through, the network, and a reputation to uphold. As a small business owner, I'd always be looking for at least a 100% markup to be able to make it worth my time on any item.
