Hello guys welcome to my channel my name is Geoffrey am the young farmer. today we are doing something different from Azolla. Am going to show you a pawpaw garden we have been doing. This pawpaws we have harvested this from the farm, this is malkia f1. Remember we are farming in the dry lands, we use malkia F1 because it’s tolerant to drought, it can survive very harsh climate. We have 130 tress in this farm. This garden is 1 ½ years old. Malkia f1 has proven to be the best in our area. For example malkia f1 is supposed to give you 100 friuts the least each tree, its fruiting throughout the year. Once you start harvesting, you can be harvesting 2 fruits from each tree weekly. Here we are in ukambani very dry but malkia f1 is proving to be the best. In the planting hole, your hole has to be 2ft deep, 2ft width and 2ft length that will be able to achieve this. This is like the best tree in this farm. This is the fourth time we are harvesting. You can count the fruits in this tree. Many of them are ripe. If you are a good farmer and good in calculations. Let’s say you have 100 trees each tree bearing 100 fruits that is 10,000 fruits. When you go to the market the cheapest you can sell is 50ksh and that is the lowest u can sell. When you do the maths, you can see you can stil make it in pawpaw farming. If you have good climate than ours its better. We will be harvesting some, this is the way you harvest it, twist it and it get released from the tree. Malkia is good in shelf life. Very hard skin, it’s good when you exporting. If you want to be selling your pawpaws for export market consider using malkia f1. It’s a hermaphrodite, meaning all its trees male or female will be giving fruits. For example I can show you the difference between the male and female. This one am holding here is is from the female plant, here this is a male one. You can see the difference, the male is elongated. So all the trees in this farm are producing. We will be doing other pawpaw videos later. You need to pull up your socks on feeding and watering,malkia once well fed gives large fruits, one year old trees should have thicker trunks and wider leaf shade than what you have, so please water more and feed more with fertilizers! Take my advice positively,otherwise congratulation for initiating the project! Keep up the spirits!

Go for hybrid paw paw.... You can buy the seeds and Propagate yourself
