That’s actually a lot of work. I guess I’m lucky that the software that came with my vinyl cutter I can use to vectorize images. I just import it, then trace it and then export as svg. I have found that each color comes in to easel basically as separate “layers” so I can set the cut type for each separate color. I didn’t realize other software makes tracing multicolored logos so difficult. I learned something new today.

Paw Paw’s WorkShop I assumed Inkscape did the same thing. I’ve only used inscape a couple times in the past.

Paw Paw’s WorkShop I use vinylmaster cut (basic edition). It looks like it’s $60 on amazon. Not bad if you do a lot of those types of images. I also have used it to design my signs I carve. I use to free hand signs and use my cutter to make templates. I have more fonts available in that software as well. This software also comes in handy for my screen printing.

Great video. What did you use for masking? I still haven't found anything that performs consistently well.

This was a shelf liner and did poorly. The Oramask works well

What version of Easel is this? I use the pro version and the only import function I have is an SVG file

How does a v bit carve the flat areas?....its not a flat bit its pointed....
@PawPawsWorkShop6 жыл бұрын
der ddd . Yes it is a point. The extreme soft wood makes cleanup necessary regardless of which bit I use. The real question is wood selection. This is the wood I had available at the time. Thank you for your comments.

There is no way it can machine a surface flat.....
@PawPawsWorkShop6 жыл бұрын
der ddd. Yes, it required some cleanup, however, I have found when using this extremely soft wood it doesn’t make much difference which bit you use. Cleanup will be necessary.
